I wish to start investing in PPF and would like to know when is the best time of a year to deposit the money to earn the maximum interest for that year. Will depositing some amount monthly or depositing a lumpsum between 1-5 april for that financial year yield maximum interest? Please help

Early you start any investment is good in long run. Investing lump sum in 1-5 April would give you interest for whole year, as PPF is not MF, where we need to invest as SIP to minimise risk. Thank for the information. So i can make the most out of PPF if i invest a lumpsum between 1-5 April 2011 (e.g) for the financial year 2011 than if i invest in installments right?

Yes you are right. By the way 1-5 April 2011 is already gone, so invest now.
