Should I buy - Max New York Life's - Life Gain Plus?

I am 30 years old, working in govt. undertaking. One agent is asking me to go for Max New York Life's - Life Gain Plus policy. He told me that it's a good policy and will give me good return. He told me that I will get 110% returns. Please advice.

Avoid this plan and buy term insurance and invest the remaining amount in MFs, Gold or other assets.
