I tried comparing the premiums for few similar term plans from different insurance companies and found that they were varying by as much as Rs. 5000 in some cases, although there was no visible difference in the type of cover that these policies were offering. What exactly can we call a good term plan?

Please suggest a few.

Thanks
Mahak

I would suggest check below things -
1- Claim Settlement Ratio
2- Branch in your city (for claim settlement)
3- Analyse your future need (Sum Insured like you might go for property in future)
4- Compare the plan and go for low premium.

Look what you want is in the plan or not -
a) Riders or Add ons
b) Discounts to non smokers etc.
c) Always select the longest term
