Hi Community,

I have recenlty joined the insurance bandwagon (a leading insurance company as underwriter). I am looking forward to equip myself with some good starter stuff in insurance fundamentals.
Can somebody help me out?

I would be greatful for your advice.

Go to the Insurance Institute of India and pick up two of their books -
1- Principles of Insurance &
2- Practice of Life/General Insurance.

These two ought to give you a fair idea of the basics of Insurance.

You can read books as suggested by VarunD. Go to the website of the company you are joining in. Plus go to LIC website (www.licindia.com) or National Insurance (www.nationalinsuranceindia.com/) and read about the products - You will get the basic info required.

Hope this helps!!
