Bajaj Allianz General Insurance has launched a health insurance policy to provide an additional cover to any existing hospitalisation/medical expenses policy of any insurance company.

“The top-up plan, ‘Extra Care', is an economical product which offers Rs 10 lakh cover at a premium of Rs 2,500, which is amongst the lowest in the industry,'' Mr C.R. Mohan, Regional Manager-Hyderabad, Bajaj Allianz General Insurance, told newspersons here on Wednesday.

In addition to the primary policy holder, it would also provide cover up to four family members at no extra price, he added.

The other features of the plan include three options of sum assured offered at Rs 10 lakh, Rs 12 lakh and Rs 15 lakh. Continuity for waiting periods would be given for any indemnity cover irrespective of sum insured in the earlier policy.
