The mutual fund agent certification process will now come under the National Institute of Securities Market (NISM). Agent certification exam will be conducted by NISM from June 1.
The Association of Mutual Fund Industry (AMFI) used to conduct these exams earlier.
Now, all MF sellers will need to be certified by NISM. However, agents with AMFI certification prior to June 1 will be exempted.
