What to buy - Mid Caps or Blue Chips

I am really confused whether to go for Mid-cap stocks or Blue chips. I see large caps/ Blue chips like Infosys performing better than mid-cap stocks.

It all depend on your investment pattern and risk taking capacity.
Midcaps - High Risk and High Return
Bluechips - Low Risk and Steady Return

If you have no experience and can't check and track daily movements blindly go for Blue-chips.

RIL, Infosys and ICICI Bank are my picks.

Add Bharti, HDFC Bank and Bajaj Auto in above.
