Non Receipt of Original Insurance Policy from National Insurance Co. Ltd.
I took car insurance from Maruti Insurance in coordination with National Insurance Co. Ltd. for my Maruti Alto Vxi car. At that time covernote was issued to me and lady working there told me that the policy will be issued later on. However, till date the original hard copy of the policy has not been received by me. Keeping the original insurance policy in the car is mandatory as per RTO/Police. Recently, my vehicle was intercepted by police and I was fined Rs 1000 for not keeping original policy in the car. When Maruti dealer was contacted to receive original insurance, they say please contact insurance company. What to do now?
