I would go for -
ICICI Bank, Yes Bank, Axis Bank, L&T, HDFC, Tata Motors, Tata Steel, RIL

I would go with the midcaps, they are only going to perform in future and will give you more returns than blue chips.

Go for Blue chip stocks, so that in case of any emergency you can withdraw it. Blue chip stocks are those stocks which have been known to be the stocks that have following characteristics -

2. Large capitalisation
3. Stability of earnings

5. Regular dividend payouts
