ICICI PRU Life ULIP - ICICI Pru LifeStage Wealth II - Is it possible to surrender after three month?

I bought unit link insurance policy - ICICI Pru LifeStage Wealth II (ULIP) from ICICI PRU Life Insurance Company (premium on monthly instalment basis), I had paid 3 month premium, but due to some personal financial problem, I am unable to pay premium for this policy.
I had approach ICICI Pru Life - they told me that As per IRDA Guidance- ULIP policy can surrender any time after completion 3 years. So I should have to pay 3 years continously, then only my policy will be eligiable for surrender. But due to my finance condition I am asking that they should atleast return my money.

Life Insurance is a contract between you and the insurance company and it's documented in the form of policy. So you have to follow what is there in the policy. Just to add here before surrendering the policy, it is advisable to take term insurance.
