Bought KVP in 2006 - How much amount can I get today (if I en cash it today)?

I have bought KVP (Kissan Vikash Patra) in Jan - 2006, Now I am urgent need of money. Please tell me -
1- How much amount can I get today (if I en cash it today)?
2- Procedure to en cash it?

You can get KVP encashed at any post office. Usually, at the time of encashing the KVP on maturity, the holders need to sign on the back of the certificate in front of the postmaster. You also carry Original Identity Proof such as Driver License or Passport etc.

However, the KVP deposits are exempt from Tax Deduction at Source (TDS) at the time of withdrawal.
