I have two queries on PO-MIS that can a husband and wife open two accounts as under -
1. husband as main a/c holder & wife joint a/c holder
2. wife main a/c holder & husband joint a/c holder
They can open any number of POMIS accounts. But subject to meet the condition that deposits in all accounts taken together shall not exceed rupees 4.5 lakh in single account and rupees 9 lakh in joint account.
It's not Main and Joint Account holder, both account holders are joint account holder. Don't confuse with joint bank accounts.Quote:

Both of you known as joint account holder but there are two options one is that one can handle account like you get the permission to handle the account. In the option your wife can handle the account. That depends on you which option you have to select.
