Will my travel insurance policy cover me if I am in a coutry where there is civil unrest?

I went to a contry on tourist visa and travel insurance and nothing was there. During my stay if there is civil unrest happen in the country I am visiting. Will my travel insurance policy cover me?

It's little tricky question. If you have travelled against the advisory of the Govt then you are not covered. If the unrest happened in between and you tried your level best to move out of the country but not able to do then you are covered. But the proving part is the hardest part and you need to show that you tried.

If in case you face this situation once you are already in that country, then in that case, you can claim coverage but when knowingly about the scenario you visit then in that case, you cannot ask for any kind of Insurance claim.
