TPAs what?

What do you mean by TPAs? Please explain.

TPAs are Third Party Administrators.They play the role of health intermediaries.

Third Party Administrators (TPAs) are the middlemen in the chain of health care delivery - such as physicians, hospitals, clinics, home health, long-term care facilities and pharmacies - into a single entity. They will provide quality health care and services at affordable costs.

Third Party Administrators (TPA) is an important link between Insurance companies, policyholders & healthcare providers (Hospitals and nursing homes). TPA’s role is to provide administrative support to the insurance companies for servicing Mediclaim insurance policies.
