How to connect laptop to a LCD(TV) ?

How to connect laptop to a LCD(TV), so that instead of laptop monitor, I can use LCD(TV). Can anyone help me in this regard?

Most of LCDs have VGA input and Laptops provide VGA output. You need to get a VGA cable. This cable will cost you approx Rs 250 for 3 meter length. Depending on make and model of you Laptop you need use function keys to enable VGA output. If you do not want to see any display on laptop screen you can use the function keys. In Lenove we use F7 to enable this output

I think through HDMI cable also you can connect your laptop to LCD, if your laptop and tv both have HDMI ports.

You can connect it through S - video cable
