My Opinion is Dell Inspiron 14 Laptop (S540513IN8). Check the dell site and configure according to your need.
Dell - Inspiron 1545
4 gb ram, 320 gb HD, vista home basic ..costs 37-38 k
Go for Dell. Good overall performance.
