Well in case of death, the nominee of the insured would get back the fund value at the current NAV of the fund.
It does not cover life risk. If the principal insured dies within three years, the nominee would get the fund value.Quote:

Mediclaim cover medical expenses. It pays you the fund NAV in case of happening of the event. Its more like GICs Hospital Cash Policies.
