    Default Is PPF a good retirement fund?

    Is PPF a good retirement fund? As its safe in Govt. Hand and give compound return of 8.5% every year.

    Its good to keep some money safe but I keep only 10% of my money in PPF, because the return is normally equals to inflation. So you won't get anything. Go for MF and large cap Shares for long term.

    Keep some amount of money in PPF. Its good because the partial withdrawal is after 5 years and it mature after 15 years and you can still continue after 15 years.
    In order to get a Loan, you first need to prove that you don't need it.
