Queries on PPF account?

I had invested 55000/- in PPF in year 2007 -2008, but haven't invested any amount in the years 2008-2009. I have a query -
1- Whether my PPF Account is active or not?
2- How to get the details of my invested amount?

3- And how could I update it?

If you won't invest in the account every year min Rs. 500, than it will become inactive. Go the branch where you have opened the amount and give a request to make it active and pay minimum Rs. 500 every year to keep it active.

2- How to get the details of my invested amount?

3- And how could I update it?

Go to the branch with your PPF passbook and update it in the branch.
