Its good decision. For the big fall which happen in 2008, its right decision. Some shares like Satyam, which fell like anything in a single day, SEBI has to bring some rule to save common small investors.

As per SEBI Circular -
Still with this rule, you cannot tackle big fall of shares.The Stock Exchanges shall review the lot size once in every 6 months based on the average of the closing price of the underlying for last one month.
