How do calculation of NAV return happen with ULIPS?
NAV or Net Asset Value is the value of the asset held by the insurance company after deducting the various charges like admin charges etc.

Here is a list of charges applicable on ULIPs -
    1- Premium allocation charge
    2- Fund management charge
    3- Surrender charges
    4- Mortality charges
    5- Fund switching charges
After deducting above charges from the Net Asset value, the NAV is declared.

    Partial withdrawal charges
    Policy administration charges
    Revival charges
    Miscellaneous charges

Percentage of each charges very company to company but maximum limit is fixed to 2.25% by IRDA for above 10 years of duration.
