Should I Appear for the AMFI Exam?

I have done MBA in marketing. I want to work for a mutual fund company in the marketing department. Should I appear for the AMFI exam? how can it help me?

If you want to sell MFs, this exam is must for you.

How much weightage will be given to my score in this exam?

Score don't matter, till you clear it. Knowledge is very important, which you would be using to sell MFs.
