New PPF account for Nepali Resident in India

I am Nepalese citizen, working in India for past 1.5yrs. Am I eligible to open PPF account in India?

No. PPF account is only for Indian Residents.

Even NRIs cannot open a new account. They can continue use existing PPF account (if they have any).
