Can I close or withdrawal PPF amount before 15 years?

I have some doubts on PPF -
1. Do I need to deposit equal amount of payment every year in my PPF account?
2. Can I close or withdrawal the amount before 15 years?

3. What if I pay for only for first 2 years. Would the account be alive for next 13 years with out any deposit?

You can deposit any amount from Min 500 - Max 70000/- per year.

2. Can I close or withdrawal the amount before 15 years?

You can partly withdraw the amount but cannot close it before 15 years. You can also take loan on the deposit amount.

3. What if I pay for only for first 2 years. Would the account be alive for next 13 years with out any deposit?

No. To continue the account you have to deposit Min 500 every year.
