Question Why theft is excluded from holiday home insurance policy coverage?

Vishal made a proposal for insurance cover to protect his holiday home property which was occupied on and off during the year. Theft peril is excluded from the cover by the insurance company? Why theft is excluded?

It's looks like a question from insurance book/exam!
Answer is in the question -
was occupied on and off during the year
Because it is not occupied whole year, so chances of theft is more, when one occurance is sure then insurer won't cover it.
You will pick up maximum wrong numbers when on roaming.
