    Hello experts,

I want to invest Rs. 1 lac for my child who is just 1 year old now for a period of 18 years(i want to pay the premium i.e. 1 lac in one sum). So can you suggest which is the best policy in market for which i wll get nice returns after 18 years.

    Thanks and Regards.

Hemant - Avoid investing in an insurance policy for return. Insurance is for covering yourself for future unforeseen events. Better go for good mutual funds.

There are many ways to invest for your child's future like Public Provident Fund (PPF), RBI bonds, Mutual Funds, Post Office instruments and pure Equity (Stocks). I would suggest you consult some reputed financial services company.
