MFs for investment horizon of 15 years

I am working in an MNC and aged 35 years. I have about 10 lacs with me. I am looking to invest this for my sone in MFs. My investment horizon is for long term around 15 years. Please advice me how to perapre portfolio and also suggest some good funds for this.

I feel that we need to review our investment periodically. No investment is always good, if it's not giving returns, get out and invest in the other best option. Go for SIP mode and invest in these funds -
1- HDFC Top 200
2- DSPBR Top 100 Eqt Reg
3- IDFC Premier Equity Plan A

If your investment horizon is long term invest in 'Quantum Long Term Equity' good fund for long term and less risk.
