 About the Program
 The FLMI curriculum provides key knowledge of how this complex industry operates and an individual's role in the industry’s continued strength in the global economy. The 10 courses provide a comprehensive business education in the context of the insurance and financial services industry. To earn the FLMI designation, students must successfully complete 10 self-study courses.
 The FLMI program features a solid introduction to industry terms, functional areas, processes, and area and product-specific knowledge in marketing, administration, and financial reporting.
 
 Who Should Enroll
 FLMI courses provide a foundation of insurance knowledge to foster your success in the insurance and financial services industry and teach the principles of business in a framework of policies, practices and examples relevant to
 the financial services industry, with a focus on life insurance within that industry.

 Level I—Fundamentals of Life and Health Insurance
 This introductory level of the program is designed to give you a foundation of knowledge to foster your success in the life and health insurance industry. Two courses comprise FLMI Level I.
 LOMA 280—Principles of Insurance: Life, Health & Annuities
 LOMA 290—Insurance Company Operations
 
 Level II—Functional Aspects of Life and Health Insurance
 This advanced level is designed to further your career development by providing a detailed understanding of business concepts with the emphasis on life and health insurance, financial services, and related subjects.
 LOMA 301—Insurance Administration
 LOMA 311—Business Law for Financial Services Professionals
 LOMA 316—Business Law for Financial Services Professionals (Canada)
 LOMA 320—Life and Health Insurance Marketing
 LOMA 330—Management Principles and Practices
 LOMA 351—Financial Services Environment
 LOMA 356—Investment Principles and Institutional Investing
 LOMA 361—Accounting and Financial Reporting in Life Insurance Companies
 LOMA 371—Managing for Solvency and Profitability in Life Insurance Companies
 
 Program Update
 LOMA 310 and LOMA 315 have been replaced in the FLMI Program curriculum with LOMA 311—Business Law for Financial Services Professionals and LOMA 316—Business Law for Financial Services Professionals - Canada. Students who already have credit for LOMA 310 or LOMA 315, which are no longer offered, will automatically receive FLMI credit for the Law course.
 When you successfully complete LOMA 280 and LOMA 290, you will receive a personalized certificate of completion for Level One. Once you have completed all 10 courses, you will earn the prestigious FLMI designation.
