Default Paid Full Health Insurance for year, then resigned. Do I get the insurance money back?

I paid 35K in April for the entire year for health insurance from my last company. I quit in May. Since I am no longer covered by the companies health insurance plan, can I get my money back?

Ask a copy of terms and conditions of your group health insurance plan from your HR and check.

Companies take group policies on floater basis - where new persons added or deleted (as the case is). The final premium is decided at the year end, where the company has to pay extra or the insurance company refund the excess amount (as the case is).

    So talk to your HR/Finance.
