How to encash MIS, prematurely?

I had invested Rs. 5 lakh in monthly income scheme with my wife in join MIS. But unfortunately my wife died after 3 months. Am looking to withdraw to take that out? If yes, let me know how to go about it?

You can encash PO-MIS prematurely only after one year.
