Default Policyholder gone missing - how to claim under LIC?

My father bought a LIC Policy and I'm the nominee of this policy. This policy is already completed 3 years. My dad gone missing since 6 months and there is a need for money so I want to withdraw what ever amount is there with this LIC policy. Is there any way to do that?

    Reagrds,

The law in our country allows for a presumption – a presumption of death – in case of missing persons. If a person is unheard of for a period of seven years, he is presumed to have died and the onus of proving that he was alive within this period is on that person who affirms that he was alive.
