Repair it or Replace it?

Accidently, I have dropped my Dell LapTop and the screen smashed, its a two years old Laptop but will the insurers repair it or replace it?

I have Home insurance policy with Iffco-Tokio.

The decision to either repair or replace is with your insurers underwriters.

You cannot ask or suggest them.

Swapnil,

Insurer normally check with surveyor, which is best to repair or replace the insured article. If the cost of the repair is more than replacement cost, the insurer go for replacement.

But as policywala said you can't suggest insurer.
