CPCU - Does the certification help?

It does help. These days MNC companies like Accenture, IBM, CSC etc and local companies like Wipro, TCS and HCL hire people for role of Business consultant/Analyst role who have internationally recognised qualifications.
Also internationally recruiters want qualifications for key positions.

INS which is General Insurance Basic Certification. I think there is lots of other certifications in CPCU which adds value to your career. So go for it.
