Which is better LCD TV or Plasma ?
Are their any inherent issues (disadvantages) in LCD over normal television? Which brands should I look for in LCD and Plasma ?

LCDs have better picture quality over Plasmas for their (efficient true color and real life display), currently the best LCD models are available from Sony and Samsung only. Others are just showbiz and pricey.

Go for Samsung LCD (Full HD). Size of the LCD you choose should be according to your room size, as 32" LCD needs min 6 feet distance to view it. Look for USB port also. Samsung Series 5 offers USB port but it doesn't support movie formats, while LG Jazz and Scarlet offers USB port and also movie format support. Contrast ratio also matters while selecting LCD. Quality of samsung is better than LG.

Tip:- If you have any friend in LG or Samsung, they get a good discount from company. So you can buy it on their name. :-)

Forget about LCD now, LED is Latest now,prioces should come down after some time,but between LCD&Plasma, LCD is better
