    Any idea of performance of acer laptops.. should buy it or not? or anyone having any bad experiences with acer?

    Go for ACER with Intel processors, not with AMD. Only word of caution.

    I have Acer since 2005 and it is working absolutely fine. Only thing is battery is gone now, but that is normal after such a long usage.

    I've Acer TravelMate 8400 series and it's working fine. A value for money for me at least.

    Go for HP-Compaq if going for less pricey. Avoid Acer.
