Lost the NSC Certificate

Hi,

We have lost the NSC certificate. The money is around 40k. I read the forum in policywala and understood the procedure.

The NSC policy was taken in Chennai and currently we live in bangalore. Can i file a FIR in bangalore and do the remaining formalities in bangalore itself?
