    Exclamation SEBI fixes lot size for derivative contracts


    SEBI fixes lot size for derivative contracts and it will come into effect from March 31, 2010.

    Its good decision. For the big fall which happen in 2008, its right decision. Some shares like Satyam, which fell like anything in a single day, SEBI has to bring some rule to save common small investors.

    I agree with you PW, as I have lost lots of money in Satyam (even I am holding it as delivery shares).

    As per SEBI Circular -
    The Stock Exchanges shall review the lot size once in every 6 months based on the average of the closing price of the underlying for last one month.
    Still with this rule, you cannot tackle big fall of shares.
