Question Is it possible to keep EPF in account till 5 years and withdraw later?

I worked for a company for 3 years. I had left the job to pursue my higher studies. I do not want to withdraw EPF amount because it is taxable. Is it possible to keep it till 5 years so that when I withdraw the amount it will be exempted from tax?

If you won’t transfer or withdraw the PF amount, it will stay in your PF account.

Just for your info - According to the new rules, after year 2011, after 3 years of inactivity, your PF account will stop earning any interest income. So withdraw before year 2014.
