Please tell us about your salary bifurcation (Basic and DA) to calculate gratuity. Or calculate yourself with the help of below formula -

    Eligible Gratuity Amount :

(Basic + DA) X 15 days salary per year X No.of years completed
    ----------------------------------------------------------------
    26

No.of years Eligible for Gratuity :

    DOR : 31.02.2009
    DOJ : 01.12.2003

    30 days, 02 months, and 5 Years : ie. 5 Years

    Eligible Gratuity Amount : Basic+DA x 15days wages per year x No.of years Completed / 26

    (5000+2500) x 15 x 5
    ___________________
    26

    (7500) x 75
    __________
    26

    = 21634.62

Note - If you completes 5 years 6 months means you take no of years completed as 6 years.

    Few Fundamentals whilst Paying Gratuity:
    1. Employee has to Complete 5 Years of Continous Service
    2. Employee should have worked for min. 240 Days in Every Year(Excluding Holidays, but inclusive of Leave)
    3. At the time of leaving the no.of Years should be rounded of to the nearset number, Ex: 5 years 6 defines that She/He has completed 5.5 Years hence, to be Rounded of to 6 Years. Likewise 5 Years 5 Months defines 5.45 Years hence, to be rounded of to 5 Years.
    4. Basic is defined to be as Last Drawn Basic which includes Spl. Allowance+Dearness Allowance (if any).
