Postal Life Insurance (PLI) and Rural Postal Life Insurance will soon provide facility to buy policies online.

PLI, which started operations in 1884, is now beginning its second phase of technology upgradation, Anjali Devasher, member, PLI, said at an award presentation ceremony here on Thursday.

As part of this, online viewing of policies and downloading facilities will be provided, she said.

Postal Life Insurance now has 28 million policies, including 62 lakh rural policies.
