Just while submitting your claims, write your mobile number on the top of the application forms, yes that’s it. You will get a sms on your mobile number and/or an email, about the status of your claim.
Where do I have to write my mobile no or email address?
You have to write your Mobile Number (Only 10 Digits) and/or a Valid Email ID on top of the Claim Application Form (No. 19/10-C/10-D/13/31/20/5IF). This will provide EPFO claim status message to yours’ Claim application as & when it is disposed, through SMS/Email.
Things to take care!
You have to ensure that the above information is furnished at the time of submission of the claim application, you cannot add it later on.
When will the SMS is generated?
SMS messages are generate on daily basis.
When will I get the sms?
1-In case of account transfer, the subscribers would get two messages on his/her mobile –
a) First SMS – stating that the account is closed
b) Second SMS – about the amount of money transferred from old to new one
2-In claim settlement requests,
a) First SMS – would be for intimating that the EPFO has received their application.
b) Second SMS – when the claim is settled, applicant would get another message stating the amount is credited in the specified bank account.
What is the next step after getting the EPF claim?
You will get Form 23 (Annual PF Statement) by post from the Regional Provident Fund Office, by which you can verify the claim credited in your account. You would receive this at your address, which you’ve mentioned in your withdrawal form.
You can also compare the received amounts with the contribution made by you to your EPF with previous employer. Ask for Form 3-A from your previous employer. It should have all the information about the contribution made towards the EPF.
I have received two payment in my account, what are these?
You’ll receive two different amounts in your account. One is for your EPF withdrawal and one is for Pension contribution.
How much time EPF claim takes to process the claim?
EPFO normally takes around 30-60 days to process your claim.
Why it takes 30-60 days to process EPFO claim?
It takes months to settle claims and transfer of accounts because everything is done manually at the moment.
What to do if I won’t get the claim within 60 days?
If you won’t find status of your EPF claim then do submit your grievance at the portal.
