First get the CIBIL Credit Report, you can get it via Online or Offline. And check that all the info is correct. If some info is not correct, you can initiate a dispute to correct it via Online or Offline.
What info you Need?
1- Personal Info – Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Address, Mobile or Landline, Email ID
2- Dispute Details –
a) Control Number – Control Number is a unique 9 digit Control Number which is displayed on the top right hand side of your CIR.
b) Date of Report – Date when the above Credit Report is generated.
– In case, you are initiating a dispute based on a CIR accessed by your Credit Institution (By Bank), kindly obtain the Control Number and the date of the CIR from your Credit Institution before raising the dispute request.
c) Reason for Dispute

2- Enter Personal Info, Control Number, Date of Report and Reason for Dispute
How to initiate a dispute Offline?
1- Write a detailed dispute letter explaining the problem and Reason for Dispute (Download Sample Letter)
2- Attach supporting documents to support you dispute
3- Send above documents to CIBIL at below address-
