How to Register your Mobile/Landline for DND (Do Not Call / Do Not Disturb)?
There are three easy ways to register your Mobile/Landline number for DND –
1. Dial 1909 from Your Mobile No and follow the instructions
Fully Blocked Category – stoppage of all commercial Calls/SMS
Partially Blocked Category – stoppage of all commercial Calls/SMS except SMS from one of the opted preferences
or
2. SMS ‘START 0’ to 1909
For ‘Fully Blocked Category’, write “START 0” and send it to 1909.
For ‘Partially Blocked Category’, send SMS ‘START 1’ (for Banking/Insurance/Financial Products/Credit Cards).
or
3. Call Customer Service of your mobile/landline operator and ask them to register your number for DND.
On successful registration, customer will receive an SMS confirming exercised options and a Unique Registration Number within 24 hrs. The registration will be effective within 7 days of placing the request with the service provider. The customers can also check the status of their registration by clicking on “Customer Registration Status“.

How to File a Complaint?
However, if your number is registered on the Do Not Disturb list and still you continue to receive “unsolicited” calls or SMS messages, you can register a complaint by sending an SMS to short code 1909 in the following format:
“COMP TEL NO XXXXXXXXXX;dd/mm/yy;Time in hh:mm; short description of Unsolicited Commercial Communication”
Here XXXXXXXXXX is the telephone number from which the SMS was received while the other fields represent the date and time of the message.
The subscriber should insist for the Complaint No. which should be kept for further reference.
