How to file a Complaint to IRDA for an Insurance Claim?

If within 30 days of lodging the complaint with the insurance company, if you do not get a satisfactory response from insurance company then you may approach IRDA.

Policyholder/Insured needs to send his/her complaints themselves or the claimants, otherwise the complaints will not be entertained by IRDA Complaint Cell. The IRDA Complaint Cell shall not entertain complaints written on behalf of policyholders by advocates or agents or any third parties.

Registration of Complaints
You can register your complaints in three ways –
1- By Email – Email all details with filled IRDA_Complaint_Form.pdf to email ID – complaints@irda.gov.in
2- Online by IRDA’s IGMS
3- By Post – You can send filled IRDA_Complaint_Form.pdf and all other relevant documents by post to below address. Complaints against Life and Non-life insurers / Private and Public Sector Insurers are handled separately.
